match the ordered weight. Please allow a small variation of up to around 10%

Hugo Kamishi Blue Mix Aquarium Gravel 5-8mm is the ideal way to decorate and enhance your fish tank, bringing a varied range of colour and interest to your aquarium.
This gravel is suitable for all types of cold water, tropical and marine aquarium set-ups.
The gravel also acts as a good rooting medium for live plants.
Perhaps the most important function that gravel serves is to provide a home for beneficial bacteria . Those bacterial colonies are necessary to eliminate waste produced by the fish, leftover food, and plant debris in the aquarium. If the bacteria don’t have a comfy gravel bed to live in they will find other places, but may not grow in sufficient quantities to keep the aquarium safe for your fish.
If the tank is left with a bare bottom, it will be necessary to change the water more often in the aquarium to keep harmful wastes from building up. In the event the tank is heavily stocked, even frequent water changes may not be enough to keep ammonia and nitrites at bay.
Occasionally there are situations in which substrate isn’t necessary, or even desirable. The primary one is in a grow-out tank that is used to hatch eggs and raise young fry. Grow out aquariums must be kept scrupulously clean, and require frequent water changes as well as prompt vacuuming away of waste and uneaten foods.
Fry are so tiny that it is often difficult to distinguish then if they are against a gravel substrate. It is all too easy to suck them up when vacuuming the substrate, or changing water. A bare-bottomed tank makes it far easier to spot small fry, and thus avoid them when cleaning the aquarium
Hospital tanks also may not have substrate, which can harbor parasites that can linger there and infect the next inhabitant. A bare-bottomed tank is a good way to avoid that possibility. For the same reason, some owners choose to leave any quarantine tanks bare-bottomed as well.

HA6 is a high quality, non‐shrinking, marine quality, automotive silicone sealant. Surpasses the requirements of EN15651‐1,2:2012. Uses HA6 is unaffected by UV, ozone, salt water immersion and extremes of temperature and is non-slumping in paste form. HA6 contains no fungicides or oils which may leach into water and is therefore recommended for bonding, bedding and sealing glass in aquarium construction. HA6 is also recommended for the manufacture of in-situ gaskets and seals for pumps and pipework to prevent water ingression and as a dust and weatherproofing seal for cabinets in dirty environments or external applications. It is ideal for use on: glass; ceramics; anodised aluminium; primed metals and timber and many plastics. Preparation Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry and free from grease, oil or any other contaminants that may hinder adhesion. Prime porous surfaces and metals other than anodised aluminium or stainless steel for optimum adhesion. Application Apply using a standard sealant gun with the nozzle cut at an angle of 45°, and to an opening slightly larger than the joint to be sealed. For sealing and bedding apply in the normal fashion and tool to a smooth finish one or two minutes after gunning. As an adhesive bring the two surfaces together before skinning commences and do not stress the joint before the silicone has developed strength. As a gasket apply to one surface and if the joint is to be broken allow a strong skin to develop before compressing for permanent gaskets the joint can be sealed immediately. Clean away any excess with white spirit. When using in aquarium assembly please refer to separate sheet for instructions which can be supplied upon request. Limitations Not suitable for use on bitumen, asphalt, natural stone or unprimed metals. Do not use as a mirror adhesive, Do not apply at temperatures below 5C or above 30C. Aquascape construction epoxyAquascape is a two-part epoxy putty that has been specially developed by d-d for use in salt water and freshwater aquariums and other underwater applications.In the marine aquarium it is ideal for bonding together rock to form complicated structures and avoiding rock falls causéd by turbo snails, sea urchins and strong current flow, for preparing coral frags and for creating clam bases to prevent them being attacked and ultimately killed by bristle worms. In addition it can be uséd to repair leaky pipework, broken equipment or for bonding items to the aquarium glass.Aquascape has been developed to be stickier than most epoxies so that it bonds easier to wet substrates and the purple version has been formulated to dry under water to the colour of coralline algae.
